Salmon fishing

Salmon fishing in Stordal-Sunnmøre.

North in the western coast. One of the best salmon river in this part of Norway.
Season: June 15 - August 31.
Limited sale of fishing-cards, max. 4 (6) persons on each zone. The river is about 25 to 40 m. wide. We can offer fishing in the lower part of the river, zone 2. And in zone 1, down to the fjord.
This is normally the area where you have best chance of catching fish.
In both zones there are between 10 and 15 nice pools, depend on the waterlewel.

The river is a "combination river" Fishing with fly, spinner, wobbler and lure.

Later in the season we also have access to the waterfalls, the stop-zone.

This zone is "original/pure nature" and about 1300 meters. Max. 3 cards in this zone

It is a "current" river, with many good pools. In the start of season the salmon is normally between 3 and 8 kg.

In the middle season the salmon is between 1 and 6 kg.
About 10 % of the salmon is between 7 and 12 kg. And every season there are catch salmon over 14 kg.
The river is closed from 00.00 to 04.00 in the night.

LODGING in large apartment

Weekend. 4-5 days. One week.
Apartment, good standard, 225 m2. 7 bedrooms, kitchen, 1 bathroom, 1 extra shower, 1 WC,
Dining room and living room/TV room. In the basement, cooler about 7,5 m3. In the base camp,
you will get access to cooling room, freezer, and vacuum packing of fish.
We have even our own special room for smoking fish.

You also have access to 15 feet boat with outboard motor, if you will go fishing on the fjord.
You may also rent apartment for single days / stopovers, and fishing-card for 8-12-20 hours.
Walking distance to the river is about 5-700 m.
There are restaurant near by, in the middle between the base camp and the river.
We can deliver lunch and dinner to the open cabins in the river or, more exciting,
to our "wilderness camp" near by the base camp.

We take care of the transport from and to the airport in Aalesund,
